Who Is

Founder of Vital Life Physical Therapy, Sarah offers direct, hands-on care, focusing on posture, movement, and myofascial release to improve quality of life.

Who is Sarah Lowe, and why does everyone Want To See Her?

I’m the pelvic health expert here in Longview, TX. I was born in South Africa, but have lived in the great state of Texas for the last 22 years, serving the people of Longview with their pelvic health issues.

I was always very active in school with sports and other activities and became interested in physical therapy while still in high school. I studied at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa before moving to the United States.

I have two daughters who are also very active and have participated in sports during their school years. I’ve always wanted to help people recover from injury and lead an active lifestyle. I have a mom and a sister who were both in the nursing field, which influenced my decision to pursue a career in health and wellness and in serving people.

Why Does Sarah Lowe Specialize In treating Pelvic Health?

In 2015, I had a strong desire to start my own business and help people in a way I felt was truly needed – through one-on-one, hands-on care in a peaceful, compassionate setting. I wanted to provide an environment where people didn’t feel rushed, where their concerns were listened to, and where I could give them my full attention.

My desire is to help women through the different stages of life, helping them navigate the complexities of menopause, maternal health, and pain during sex. I truly enjoy helping women prepare for labor and delivery, working with them during their pregnancies, and supporting them postpartum.

I help them return to their prior level of function, improve their strength, and address any issues caused by pregnancy and delivery. I also work with women through various stages of life, not only addressing pelvic health issues but also mechanical issues such as shoulder pain, hip pain, and back pain as they navigate parenthood, perimenopause, and menopause.

As they progress into the later stages of life, I continue to help them maintain their mobility and health. My goal is to enable women to stay active, enjoy spending time with their families, go on vacations, and do all the things they love to do.

What Makes Sarah Lowe Different?

I’ve become known as the leading pelvic health expert in Longview because of the many women I’ve been able to help with various pelvic floor conditions.

This includes helping women prepare for a successful pregnancy, labor, and delivery experience, knowing they’ve prepared themselves and their pelvic floor as best as possible for the physical demands of birthing a baby. Many of these women have come through childbirth with minimal to no tearing and have had a quicker recovery afterward.

I’ve also worked with women in their postpartum period, helping those dealing with core weakness or diastasis recti regain the ability to lift their baby, baby gear, toddlers, groceries, and more – without experiencing leakage, weakness, or back pain. My goal is to help them return to their active lifestyle in a shorter amount of time.

Perhaps you’ve heard of me through friends who were able to return to running successfully in their first year postpartum without leaking.

You may have also heard of me through patients who have sought pelvic health physical therapy at other locations but didn’t achieve the results they were hoping for, or who had multiple therapists during their treatment and lacked continuity of care.

What also sets me apart is the time and attention I dedicate to my patients. I allow for 75 minutes for assessments during the first visit. This enables us to truly get to the root cause of issues without the patient feeling rushed. It also allows them to feel heard and understood.

My background in orthopedic therapy and my training as a John Barnes Myofascial Release therapist give me a comprehensive, global approach to patient care. I take into account factors beyond the pelvis that may contribute to pelvic health issues, such as tightness in the hip or back muscles, imbalances in the pelvic girdle muscles, or misalignments in the pelvic girdle itself.

I also evaluate the strength of the core and surrounding muscles to provide a comprehensive treatment. Patients leave with actionable tools they can use daily – whether it’s stress management, lifestyle adjustments, diet recommendations, or stretches and exercises.

At Vital Life Physical Therapy, patients feel truly heard and listened to. They walk away with the tools to empower themselves, take control of their health journey, and carry these tools through the rest of their life.
